Registered nurse FAQs

We pay competitive rates based on your grade and experience, so you’ll always be rewarded fairly for your skills. Specialty areas like ICU, theatre and mental health often have higher rates – and agency rates are typically higher.

To get started with Alliance Nursing as an RN, you’ll need current AHPRA registration, up to date mandatory training (BLS, manual handling, medication safety), a National Police Check, a Working With Children Check if required, and immunisation/serology evidence as per your state and the facility. Missing something? We’ll help you sort it out so you can jump on shifts asap.

You can manage your availability and book shifts easily using our mobile app. Update your calendar, receive notifications for new shifts, and accept or decline with one tap. Prefer personal contact? Our Allocations Team can also confirm shifts via SMS or phone for your convenience.

Yes – we offer travel nursing contracts for RNs. With 12 branches nationally, we’re metro‑focused, while our sister brand – Alliance Rural and Remote Health – covers regional, rural and remote placements.
