Want to join us? Here's how.

We can’t wait to get you working. And we’re with you every step of the way.

Join us in 4 steps

Step-by-step support, from your first hello to your first agency shift – our consultants are with you all the way.

Submit your details, including your CV, cover letter and 2 recent referees. You’ll also need current AHPRA registration (Registered Nurse/Midwife/Enrolled Nurse), relevant clearances and Australian working rights.

Once you’ve registered, a member of our team will be in touch for a chat. We’ll cover your experience, preferences, and goals – so we can match you with available roles and locations that suit you.

Next, you'll start onboarding with an introduction to agency nursing. We’ll also collect and verify all your paperwork, and chat about pay rates.

Once your paperwork is done, you'll be introduced to our booking team to discuss available shifts. They’ll walk you through how to confirm your availability and handling bookings – whether you prefer the app or a quick phone call.

Join us today by registering to work and our team will support you through every stage of onboarding.

Onboarding FAQs

In the final stage of onboarding, you’ll attend orientation online or in person at your nearest branch. We’ll walk you through what day‑to‑day work with us looks like. You’ll also receive your Alliance Nursing ID badge and uniform (scrubs for RNs). You are then activated for work and will be contacted by our bookings team. You can also update your availability and view open shifts in the Alliance Connect App.

Once your first shift is confirmed, we’ll email you details about the facility, the ward or area you’ll be working in, and who to report to on arrival. This is usually the NUM or team leader. Please arrive 15 minutes early for a brief orientation covering essentials like emergency procedures, staff areas, and supplies. You’ll then be assigned your patient load and begin your shift.

Afterwards, our team will aim to check in – but you’re welcome to call or SMS us to let us know how your first shift went.

No, the app is there for your convenience, but our allocations team is always available over the phone on 1300 034 494 to help schedule your next shift.
