TRAVEL NURSING IN WANGARATTA
"My first stop while traveling Australia with Alliance Nursing was Wangaratta, a charming town with beautiful hikes and stunning sunset spots. Before work, I explored nearby areas, including Yarrawonga and Forge’s Beach on the Murray River, a lovely spot with cute cafés.
I also visited Beechworth on my way to Bright, a picturesque mountain town that was beautiful even in the rain. At Open Door Neighbourhood House, I saw how strong the local community is and met a couple doing their regional work nearby. One of the main attractions here is the Ned Kelly Homestead and Museum in Glenrowan, where I learned about the infamous Australian bushranger. The region is also home to many boutique wineries—I stopped at one to take in the views before work.
One morning, I caught the Gold Rush hot air balloons at sunrise, a breath-taking sight. Wangaratta is just a 2.5-hour drive from Melbourne, making it an easy weekend trip with stunning scenery along the way."
