Description
Join our casual agency pool supporting public & private mental health facilities across Brisbane. Choose your shifts and deliver recovery‑focused care.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver safe, person‑centred and recovery‑oriented mental health care in inpatient settings (depending on shift).
- Complete comprehensive mental state assessments, risk assessments, observations and documentation to required standards.
- Administer medications and monitor therapeutic effects and adverse reactions in line with policy and scope of practice.
- Use de‑escalation and trauma‑informed approaches to support consumers experiencing distress.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, consumers, carers and external stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate clinical notes, handovers and incident reporting as required.
What you’ll need:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum 18 months recent mental health nursing experience
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Current vaccination evidence
- Current CPR/Basic Life Support certificate.
